He is going abroad
I have a male friend who is one of my best friends. Everyone used to think we
were dating and even suggested it to us, but we decided to stay friends.
Sadly,he’s moving to a new country for university and this is our final year together.
We have prom coming up and i think it would be great to go with him. However, im scared that he might see it different.
I really dont want to ruin the friendship we have. Should i ask him? Or is our friendship more important?

Honesty is important in friendship and you should definitely tell him how you feel about prom. Do you have a crush on him? Cos if you do then it would be good if you talked to him about it but if you don’t and just see him as a good friend then why not ask him to go to the prom as friends?
Besides, he is going to go abroad soon and prom happens only once in your life so what have you got to lose?

I would suggest that you ask him and tell him what you are thinking before it’s too late.

I can understand that you are confused, cause you like your friend a lot. but don’t care about what people saying! I also went to prom with my male best friend and we have also no relationship! just ask him if he wants to go with you on prom and youll see. I dont think that he will disclaime to come with you. I wish you good luck!
