I want to date my best friends ex
Okay. So my very best friend was dating one of my other really good friends for
about four months. But the relationship went downhill after month two, and they never kissed or anything. She broke up with him two weeks ago. So during the last three weeks of their relationship, he started spending alot more time with me, and being really sweet and nice.
We’re pretty much best friends now. And I started to like him. But another one of my really good friends told me that she liked him, and that she was going to ask him out.
My other friends are helping her out and telling him her good qualities and stuff. She asked him out, and he said he wasn’t ready for a relationship. So she’s going to ask again in two weeks. And my best friend was really happy that someone liked him, despite him being her ex. She’s even helping her. My problem is that i also like him. What do i do?

I think you should speak to the girl who was dating this boy first. Explain your feelings to her then ask her opinion on what to do as she knows both you, the boy and this other girl pretty well. Then i think you should talk to the other girl tell her about your feelings also, and tell her if she has a problem with you asking this boy out, you wont. Friendship is important, and i do think you should try get your friends blessing. Hopefully she will understand, Good luck:)

you need to decide if he is worth going for. and if he is thn you need to get in there first and tell him how you feel. The chances are he will like you too

I know exactly how you feel, I’m in love with my friends ex, and what makes it worse is he dumped her and she is still like totally in love with him. I know you don’t want to hurt your friend, but if you really love this guy, then you have to tell him. You can’t keep it bottled inside, it will eat away at you and you will always wonder, what if?

Truthfully, I wouldn’t. If his ex is ur mate, haven’t u thought about her feelings. I was in exactly the same problem as u. I chose to go with the lad. Cuz he hung out with me after he split up with her. He was nice n sweet to me so I thought, why not. 3 days later, I got attacked with a high heel while I was asleep by one of his exes mates. I called the police but they didn’t do anything about it. They just said to go to the police station 2 days later. The lad gave a a statement too. But when I went to the police station, he had withdrawn his statement and told the police to tell me that it was over and that he was back with his ex. Now, I have had to move away because of her n her mates going round my house, shouting abuse in my street. They txt me, ring me. They even email me on facebook!! Just be very careful what u choose bab, u don’t wanna get hurt like I did x x

Do u think he is worth going out with? If you think you and your friend are going to fall out over him you should seriously consider checking if this boy is worth wrecking your friendship.
If he likes you back you should talk to your friend about this situation.

if u like this boy and you think he likes you too then you should talk to your friend about this situation….but if u think you and your friend could fall out then you should think about it and see if he is worth it..

just stay friends if you ask this guy out you will lose two friends and make things awkward with the boy wait until both you friends are completely over him. remember friends over guys always

its not worth wrecking your relationship with your friend if shes still not over it. i guess if your friends fine with it , do what makes you happy , but if you were there from the start, why did he choose your friend not you ? why is it now there over he wants to come to you.

This question totally relates to me, as I was in the same situation a while ago. I started dating my best mates ex a month after they broke up. He used to be my best mate too, and I started to fall for him. I checked with her that it was alright first, and decided to date him. After a while I really started to regret it, as I could tell that my best mate was really not happy about it. Even though she gave me her full consent, she still wasnt over him, she was just trying to be a good mate. About 2 months after we got together, we broke up. This way, I lost him as a best mate, and nearly lost my girl best mate too. Just think, you could end up in the same situation as me, and lose both friends. If you are really set on dating this guy, then make sure that it is COMPLETELY okay with your girl best mate, and see where it goes from there. But remember, mates before guys.

I am in the same situation…… I’m not sure what to do because gawd he’s worth it and me friend who likes him too is prettier and better to be around than me.. None of the advice really helps me because they all either say talk to people or forget him. I am not forgetting him one teeny weeny bit. And I don’t know how to talk to people in arquard situations like that. So I know its probly the wrong thing to do but I am planning to wait until he askes me which might be never.. BUUUUUUT he keeps giving me this look which makes me feel speshal until I stare back and then he looks away quickly.. So if I don’t get any good advice (no offence all you up there before me) then I will be a misserable toad for the rest of my school life.. great huhh? thanks for people trying and stuff….. And if anyone has a good idea PLEEESE can you click the reply button?? xx

i wwas in the same situation. you have to remember that this guy is also your friend and if you break up then you probobaly wont be as close anymore. you should tell his ex and if she says yes then you should go for it but if she says no then shes obviously not a very good friend

and if you really are uncomfortable talking to people in this situation, but can’t forget about him, i would advise you to try talking to the other person that likes this guy, see if they feel the same way as you about him.
… that is if you think they wont be mad, which is how a true friend should be – happy for you, that is – and if they do feel the same way, maybe you should be the better person and let them have him… you never know, he might only have eyes for you…
… then again, I’m probably not the best person to ask about this since the guy i like, I’m to embarrassed to ask out because he’s ‘popular’ and I’m not. One day I’ll have the courage to ask him out…

You should confront his ex and wait a bit. Maybe the boy said he didn’t want a relationship not to hurt her feelings. If it all goes well in two weeks jus wait till they break up, if it goes wrong again, talk to your friends and make your move like a week later.
